Ivan's Practice Log
Hi, I'm Ivan from UK age 71. Been playing keyboards for a couple of years now in an amateur band playing right hand chords and playing root chord with left hand. I've played drums for many years in bands and have a natural sense of rhythmn but until recently not had much knowledge of musical theory (lazy drummer syndrome).
I'm starting the Method section at intermediate as I have been playing a while and started using other online lessons but wanted to be more focused on rock stuff as that is my favourite genre. I'm not a good sight reader so using the workbooks will help me improve. I'm trying to do at least half hour each day if possible with Hannon exercise to start and then develop my knowledge of chord triads and use this to work on improvisation of melody I assume knowledge of pentatonic scales will help.
