Hi, I live in a small Market Town in Norfolk England and I am 60 years old. I love all styles of music from Debussy to Deep purple. At the moment I feel like I am treading water with regards to leaning the piano so hopefully this course will give me some direction. Main goal is to play with more confidence and to sound like I know what I’m doing..

I’m originally from the UK but I have lived the past 20 years in Spain. I have just spent the last month in hospital with a bleed on the brain. I supose it could technically be classed as a stroke. However it seems to have affected my memory so I cannot recall all that I used to know about playing the piano and so I’m here trying to relearn everything

Just would like to wish you all the best on your musical journey

Hi,
I’m from Switzerland. I’am 66 years old and retired since 3 years. I like music from almost all styles, classic, rock, pop, jazz.
I found the videos I have seen on YouTube very motivating. I would like to advance in playing keyboards and finally being able to produce some cool sounds on the piano and the Hammond Organ.

Hi Marine,
My name is Jim and I’m from New York. I’m 67 years old and have been tinkering with the guitar and piano for several years now. My favorite style is classic rock although I can listen to all styles, including classical. I decided to join after I came across your Youtube videos and I was impressed by the positive reviews and the amount of content available in the membership. Without structure I find myself just noodling with the keys without making any real progress. My goal is to be able to play my favorite songs as well as compose and play originals for family and friends.

Hi, nice to meet you all.
My name is Javier, from Spain. I’m 60 years old.
I love music of all kinds, but maybe Rock is my favourite one.I’d like to learn to play the piano and sing songs with it. I already play the guitar but I have the feeling that my knowledge has been always incomplete without piano skills!

Hi Marine!
1. Where are you from?
San Francisco Bay Area
2. How old are you?
Old! Born in ’66, so got to experience my 20s in the 1980s which were amazing! All of you born other times missed out 🙂
3. Your favorite style of music?
Dad-rock (blues-rock, country-rock)
<strong style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>4. Why did you sign up for Online Rock Lessons?
I play the clubs in the bay area and we do two of the Skynyrd songs that you have in your lesson from Peter Keys. So that caught my eye right away when I saw an ad for his class (can’t remember where I saw it, Facebook maybe). So that’s why I signed up: to see how he does those parts. So my reason for signing up is pretty focused I guess.5. What is your #1 piano & keyboards goal?
I can play through songs like the Lynyrd Skynyrd songs and Hard To Handle (Black Crowes) OK, but my comping parts are pretty basic, and my goal is to continue to learn some variations and additional options. Other interests are more advanced chord progressions in songwriting and modulation between keys. How to do things like land on a chord in one key that’s a V chord in the other key so makes a good pivot back to the other key. That sort of thing.Merci beaucoup!
