First Cohort Starts September, 2026 | Limited to 10 Keyboard Players

CALLING THE OVER 50+ KEYBOARD PLAYERS…

Stop Wondering What to Play and Become the Keyboard Player Every Band Wants.

Discover the Song-to-Stage System that shows you exactly what to play and how to build keyboard parts that fit the band, so you can walk into every rehearsal knowing you belong, in just 90 days.

"The keyboard program has been very eye-opening because it's definitely something that I hadn't come across before... it really gave me an opportunity to make sense of what it's like to be a keyboard player in a band."

Reece Georgas

Does This Sounds Like You?

You’re not alone…

I never knew what to play…Until I Learned to Think Like a Keyboard Player.

I still remember driving home after one of my first band rehearsals thinking,

“Maybe I just don’t belong here.”

I couldn’t stop thinking about what had just happened.

Everyone else in the band seemed to know exactly what to do. They knew when to play, when to stay out of the way, and somehow everything they played just fit the song.

I felt like I was the only one who had no idea what I was doing.

No matter what I tried, it didn’t sound right.

The more I played, the more obvious it became that I was clashing with the band but I had no idea why.

I felt like I was getting in the way.

When I looked around the room, everyone else looked relaxed. They weren’t second-guessing every note like I was. They weren’t staring down at their instruments wondering what to do next.

I was.

By the time rehearsal was over, I could feel my face burning. I packed up my keyboard, got in the car, and drove home wondering if I had made a mistake trying to play in a band.

Over the next few days, I convinced myself that the answer was simple.

I needed to practice more.

So I learned more songs, I watched hours of YouTube videos. And spent more time learning scales, chords, and music theory.

Every time I learned something new, I thought, “This is it. This is what I’ve been missing.”

But every rehearsal felt exactly the same.

And always wondering…

"What am I supposed to play?"

After one rehearsal, the drummer in the band sat down with me and explained something I’d never heard before.

He told me that my job wasn’t to play more notes or show everything I could do on the keyboard.

My job was to listen to the song, understand what it needed, and play the part that made the whole band sound better.

That simple conversation completely changed the way I looked at playing keyboard.

I realized the problem wasn’t that I needed more piano lessons or more music theory.

The problem was that…

Nobody had ever taught me how to be a keyboard player in a band.

From that moment on, I stopped trying to learn more notes and started learning how to make better choices. I learned how to choose the right sound, build keyboard parts that supported the song, and know when to play and when to leave space.

For the first time, I wasn’t guessing anymore.

I walked into rehearsals knowing exactly what I was trying to do, and playing with a band finally started to feel fun instead of stressful.

Over the years, I used the same system to play for bands around the world, packed out stadiums, and I’ve now turned this into a simple system that shows keyboard players exactly how to figure out what to play in any song.

I call it the Song-to-Stage System.

It’s the system I wish I’d had when I started.

And now, I want to teach it to you, so you can stop guessing, start playing with confidence, and finally enjoy every rehearsal.

Most Courses Teach You How to Play Piano. Song-to-Stage System Teaches You How to Play in a Band.

Most keyboard lessons teach scales, theory, exercises and songs.

Those things are useful.
But they don’t answer the question every band keyboard player eventually asks:

“What should I actually play?”

Because knowing the chords isn’t the same as knowing your role in the band.

Which sound fits the song? Should you play chords, a riff, a pad or nothing at all?

What should your left hand be doing? How do you complement the rest of the band instead of competing with it?

That’s exactly what Band-Ready Keyboardists Mentorship teaches.

Instead of giving you more theory, It gives you a repeatable system for deciding what to play, when to play it, and why it works.

Inside You’ll Get:

A proven process for knowing exactly what to play in any band.
Follow the Song-to-Stage System to create solid keyboard parts that fit the song, so you’re never left guessing what to play.

Learn songs faster without copying every notes.
Discover the principles behind great keyboard playing so you can quickly work out what to play, even when there’s no keyboard part to follow.

The skills to become the keyboard player every band wants.
Learn how to choose the right sounds, rhythms, voicings, and when to leave space so your playing supports the song, complements the band, and makes every performance better.

Band-Ready Keyboardists Mentorship gives you the proven process, practical principles, and real-world guidance to stop guessing what to play and confidently contribute in any band.

"She explains concepts that you can really apply on any songs... no one online delivered music concepts, techniques that relates to keyboard music in such a simple teaching method."

Exactly How the Song-to-Stage System Helps You Become a Band-Ready Keyboard Player

The Song-to-Stage System includes a proven learning system, personalized coaching mentorship, expert feedback, weekly live Q&A and an active community to help you become the keyboard player every band wants.

Never Wonder What To Play Again

Instead of trying to learn every note, you'll identify the song's chord progression, groove, signature keyboard lines, melodies, and key arrangement changes.

You'll quickly discover what the audience expects to hear and where you have the freedom to make your own decisions.
You'll leave this step with: A clear roadmap of the song and the keyboard moments that matter most.

Build the Perfect Keyboard Sound for Every Song

Decide exactly what role the keyboard should play in every section of the song. Learn when to support, when to lead, and when to stay out of the way.

Then choose the right sounds; piano, organ, Rhodes, synths, pads, and layers, to complement the band instead of competing with it.
You'll leave this step with: A clear role and the right sound for every section of the song.

Create a Keyboard Part That Fits the Band

Using simple, repeatable principles, you'll learn how to create keyboard parts that support the groove, complement the other musicians, and enhance the song even when there's no keyboard part on the original recording.

You'll leave this step with: A complete keyboard part you can confidently play from start to finish.

Make Every Keyboard Part Your Own

Refine your part with better voicings, rhythmic variations, fills, dynamics, transitions, soloing and space.

You'll learn how to add interest where it matters without cluttering the arrangement or getting in the other musicians' way.
You'll leave this step with: A polished keyboard part that grows with the song and sounds natural in a band

Walk Into Every Rehearsal Knowing Exactly What To Play

You’ll perform the complete song with a realistic band track, test it at performance tempo and practice recovering from missed chords or cues without stopping.

You’ll then submit your performance for personalized feedback and refine anything that clashes, disappears in the mix or interrupts the groove.
You’ll leave this step with: A tested, dependable keyboard part you can bring into rehearsal knowing it fits the band.

"Today was our first full band rehearsal since I finished that course, and I really noticed my improvement. Much better at comping with the band, able to do more fills and more comfortable with different keys and chord inversions."

What Students Said About My Past Programs

Davide Violante

''This is amazing because she explains concepts that you can apply to any song. I spent years trying to find a site like this. I was a member of several other programs, but none taught these musical concepts and keyboard techniques in such a simple, clear way.''

Richard Juneau

''No matter what level of piano player you are, you will find what you need to scale it up (no pun intended). I come from a classical background. I want to be able to play by ear eventually. With Marine's lessons, I believe I'll be able to do that a few months.''

Tony Lee

''Just starting the Hammond course and it’s already having a great effect on my play. Getting ready for my new band’s first gig this weekend and I had all my organ drawbar settings programmed in for each song.''

John Caruso

''It’s been only 10 months since I first started trying to learn the piano (and sing), and I’m quite happy with my progress. Thank you so much, I’m not sure I would still be into this or making progress without you.''

Ron Masi

''I'm so glad I found this program. What first drew me to it was Marine Lacoste's Youtube on Green Onions. The band I'm in plays that tune and I was hoping to improve my part. The video was very clear, thorough, and easy to follow.''

Allyson Scanlon

''I just wanted to say, what a fantastic course. You are really an amazing player as well as teacher and your tutorials are clear and easy to follow, so professional.''

John Beech

''As a longtime keyboard player I have let a number of areas of my playing skills slip. The lessons are well organized so I can target my areas of concern easily. Marine is very clear in what she has to say and I am finding the sessions are truly motivating me to put in the hard yards.''

Ed Bouchard

''With Online Rock Lessons Marine Lacoste has constructed quite a wonderful online music teaching site. Not only does the site cover all the bases in a most effective way. She seems to really know how to teach music. I‘ve just started exploring what she has put together. Having a ball!''

Aaron Myram

''I have always been a paint by numbers kind of player, trying to play the right note at the right time. I think Online Rock also encourages that but also encourages you to feel it and explore more possibilities.''

Jim Brown

''Marine clearly put a lot of time and effort into designing Online Rock Lessons. I'm a new member but already have benefitted greatly from the instruction and attention to detail. The interactive experience has been intuitive, making learning and practicing more enjoyable.''

Jesse Boden

''Her online course is incredible, one of the most well organized and comprehensive piano sites I've come across. Great material and very reasonably priced.''

Marie-Noelle Aubé

''All my life I wanted to play piano, but method books and apps never really worked for me. Then I found Marine and Online Rock Lessons. Her method made everything click, scales, chords, arpeggios and I quickly started playing the songs I love, from Elton John to Radiohead. Two years later, I can pick up a new piece, find the chords, and play it within minutes!''

Natalie Grolleau

''Wow! I love your new site. The lessons are outstanding quality very user-friendly, full of clear explanations, and easy to use. It’s exactly what I needed to make progress.''

Craig Orr

'' I just wanted to let you how fantastic I’ve found your lessons over the last 12 months. Your enthusiastic and engaging personality coupled with the easy to learn format mean that I’ve been getting stuck into (and enjoying) my keyboard for the first time in years. I’ve learned more about playing the music i like than I ever did in my 3 years of formal piano lessons in the 1970s.''

Tim Barr

''There was something missing from my routine regardless of my efforts, my playing was not getting better. Marine put together a practice plan that addressed all my issues that once applied I could sense that feeling of progress again.''

Megan Gelman

''Marine is great to work with. My understanding of rock piano has really improved since working with her.  Great website too!  Mahalo''

"Now I'm not so afraid to tackle songs in a band... because I have all those foundations set in place."

Is the Band-Ready Keyboardist Mentorship Right for You?

This mentorship is perfect for you if...

You don’t need to be an advanced keyboard player or have years of experience performing with bands to succeed in this mentorship.

What matters is that you’ve already built a solid foundation in piano or keyboard playing and you’re ready to learn the skills no traditional piano course teaches: how to create keyboard parts that fit the song and make the band sound better.

✅ You already have the fundamentals of piano or keyboard playing, you’re comfortable playing simple chords and songs, but you never know what to play when you’re in a band.

✅ You’re tired of relying on YouTube tutorials or copying every note from recordings just to learn one song.

✅ You want a repeatable system for creating keyboard parts that fit the song and support the band.

✅ You play or want to play with other musicians in a cover band, originals band, or any live band setting.

✅ You want personalized feedback to help you improve faster instead of trying to figure everything out on your own.

✅ You want to become the keyboard player that other musicians enjoy playing with.

This mentorship isn't for you if...

❌ You’re a complete beginner and still learning basic piano foundation, figuring out your way on the keyboard.

❌ You’re only interested in playing solo piano or classical repertoire rather than performing with a band.

❌ You’re looking for shortcuts instead of learning a repeatable process you can use on any song.

You’re not willing to practice, experiment, and apply the system between coaching sessions.

❌You’re looking for someone to tell you every note to play instead of learning how to make musical decisions for yourself.

If you already have the keyboard fundamentals but feel lost when it comes to playing with a band, you’re exactly who this mentorship was designed for.

I’ll teach you the process I use to analyze songs, choose sounds, create keyboard parts, and walk into rehearsals knowing exactly what to play.

Meet Your Mentor

Marine Lacoste

For the past 15+ years, I’ve toured as a professional keyboard player with major recording artists, including Uncle Kracker and Corey Hart, performing in arenas and stadiums across North America.

Those experiences taught me that great keyboard playing isn’t about playing more notes, it’s about knowing exactly what the song needs.

Night after night, I had to learn songs quickly, choose the right sounds, create parts that supported the band, and deliver consistent performances in front of thousands of people.

Everything I’ve learned from more than two decades of playing, recording, rehearsing, and touring has been distilled into one repeatable system named the Song-to-Stage™ System, so you don’t have to spend years figuring it out on your own.

Instead of relying on guesswork or copying other keyboard players note for note, you’ll learn the same process I’ve used throughout my professional career to confidently prepare songs, create keyboard parts, and make the band sound better.

“Marine is not just another piano instructor who came up with an online course. She’s an active professional gigging keyboard player.”

Everything You Need To Know Before Joining Band-Ready Keyboardist Mentorship

The first mentorship cohort begins on September 22, 2026.

Unlike a self-paced course where you’re left to figure everything out on your own, the first cohort will progress through the Song-to-Stage System together. New modules will be released throughout the 90-day mentorship, giving you time to apply each concept, receive feedback, and build confidence before moving on to the next step.

By the end of the mentorship, you’ll have lifetime access to the complete curriculum, including all future updates.

To give every student the attention they deserve.

Throughout the mentorship, you’ll receive personalized video feedback, weekly group coaching, and three private 1-on-1 coaching calls. I review your playing, answer your questions, and help you apply the Song-to-Stage System to real songs.

To make sure every student receives meaningful feedback and coaching, I’m limiting the first cohort to 10 keyboard players.

No. You don’t need years of experience or advanced technique to benefit from the mentorship.

However, this isn’t a beginner piano course. You should already be comfortable playing simple chords, keeping a steady rhythm, and playing complete songs on the keyboard. The mentorship builds on those foundations by teaching you how to play confidently in a band.

Not at all.

Whether your goal is to play in your with your friends, join a cover band, perform with original artists, or simply become a more confident keyboard player, this mentorship will help you.

Your goal doesn’t have to be a professional music career. Your goal just needs to be becoming the kind of keyboard player every band wants to have.

Absolutely. In fact, many of my students join before they find a band. The goal of this mentorship is to help you become the kind of keyboard player bands want to play with. You’ll learn how to create great keyboard parts, make confident musical decisions, and develop the skills that make joining a band feel exciting instead of intimidating.

Absolutely not.

Many of the students in the Keyboardist Mentorship are in their 50s, 60s, and even 70s. Some are retired, others are finally finding time to pursue the music they’ve always wanted to play.

The Keyboardist Mentorship isn’t about becoming a touring musician or starting a professional career. It’s about learning a repeatable process for playing confidently in a band whether that’s in a local cover band, or simply with friends.

If you already have the keyboard fundamentals and you’re willing to practice and apply the Song-to-Stage System, your age won’t hold you back.

What matters isn’t how old you are. What matters is your willingness to learn and your passion for making music.

Most YouTube tutorials teach you what someone else played on one specific song.

The Keyboardist Mentorship teaches you how to think like a band keyboard player, so you can confidently create your own parts for any song. Instead of memorizing hundreds of songs, you’ll learn a repeatable system for analyzing songs, choosing sounds, and building keyboard parts that fit the band.

On top of that, you won’t be learning alone. You’ll receive personalized 1-on-1 mentorship and feedback, so you can apply the system to the songs you’re actually playing and get expert guidance every step of the way.

This isn’t just another collection of lessons, it’s a complete learning system with coaching to help you become a confident, band-ready keyboard player.

The Piano Membership is designed to help you become a better keyboard or piano player by developing your musical foundation through lessons on chords, theory, technique, improvisation, ear training, and more.

The Keyboardist Mentorship is different. It’s designed to help you become a confident band keyboard player.

Instead of teaching how to play the keyboard, it teaches you what to play in a band. You’ll learn the Song-to-Stage System, receive personalized 1-on-1 coaching and feedback, and develop the skills to create keyboard parts that fit the song and make the band sound better.

Think of it this way:

  • Piano Membership: Builds your keyboard skills.
  • Keyboardist Mentorship: Shows you how to apply those skills in a real band.

Most students make steady progress by practicing 3–5 hours per week and applying the system to real songs.

The goal isn’t to spend more time practicing, it’s to practice with a clear process that helps you learn songs faster and prepare more efficiently.

Yes.

One of the biggest advantages of the mentorship is personalized feedback on your playing. You’ll be able to submit performances, ask questions during your private and group coaching sessions, and receive practical guidance to help you improve faster than practicing alone.

The Song-to-Stage System isn’t tied to one genre.

Whether you play pop, rock, country, funk, blues, or original music, the process for analyzing a song, choosing sounds, and building keyboard parts remains the same. Once you understand the system, you can apply it to any band setting.

You’ll need a keyboard that gives you access to a variety of sounds, since you’ll be learning how and when to use piano, Rhodes, organ, pads, synths, and other keyboard sounds in a band setting.

This could be:

  • A stage keyboard or workstation with built-in sounds.
  • A digital piano paired with a computer running virtual instruments (plugins) controlled via MIDI.
  • Any keyboard setup that allows you to switch between different sounds during a song.

You don’t need expensive, professional-grade gear to succeed. As long as you have access to the core keyboard sounds we’ll be using throughout the mentorship, you’ll be able to follow along and apply everything you learn.

You’ll receive lifetime access to the complete Song-to-Stage curriculum, including all future course updates, new lessons, song breakdowns, and resources added over time.

Your private 1-on-1 coaching, video feedbacks and group coaching are included for 90 days, giving you dedicated support while you build your skills and apply the system to real songs.

Even after your coaching period ends, you’ll continue to have lifetime access to all workshop replays, so you can revisit the coaching sessions whenever you need a refresher.

This way, you get the benefit of personalized guidance when it matters most, while keeping the complete learning library for life.

No. Since this is the founding cohort, new lessons will be released each week throughout the 12-week program.

This is intentional. Instead of overwhelming you with hundreds of videos, you’ll focus on exactly what you need each week before moving on.

You’ll also have the unique opportunity to influence the program as it’s being built, and you’ll receive lifetime access to the complete curriculum as it grows.

When you join the Keyboardist Mentorship, you’ll receive:

  • ✅ Lifetime access to the complete Song-to-Stage System. (Dropped over 12 weeks)
  • ✅ 90 days of personalized 1-on-1 coaching (3 Live Sessions)
  • ✅ 90 days of weekly live group coaching and Q&A sessions
  • ✅ 90 days or personalized video feedback on your playing
  • ✅ Lifetime access to all workshop replays
  • ✅ Lifetime access to future curriculum updates
  • ✅ Founding Member bonuses
  • ✅ Access to the private student community

Everything is designed to help you stop guessing what to play and become a confident, band-ready keyboard player.

No problem! If you have any questions about the Keyboardist Mentorship or want to know if it’s the right fit for you, I’d be happy to help.

Just send me an email at [email protected], and I’ll personally get back to you. I want you to feel completely confident that this mentorship is the right next step before you enroll.

Do You Want To Waste Another 10 Years Trying To figure Out How To Play in a Band?

If you’re like most keyboard players I work with, you’ve probably spent years learning chords, practicing songs, and trying to figure out what to play in a band.

And yet, every new song brings the same questions…

“What should I play?”
“What sound should I use?”
“Am I helping the band… or getting in the way?”

The truth is, you can figure it out on your own.

I did.

It took me more than 20 years of playing and performing with artists such as Uncle Kracker and Corey Hart, to develop the Song-to-Stage System.

You could spend the next several years learning through trial and error.

But do you really want to spend the next 10 years guessing what to play?

How much longer do you want to keep guessing?

Every rehearsal where you’re unsure.

Every song where you copy someone else’s part because you don’t know how to create your own.

Every opportunity to enjoy playing with confidence instead of second-guessing yourself.

That’s time you’ll never get back.

Instead, you can learn a proven, repeatable system that’s been refined through decades of professional performing, supported by coaching, feedback, and a community that’s there to help you succeed.

I can’t promise you’ll become a great band keyboard player overnight.

But I can promise you won’t have to spend the next 20 years figuring out what took me 20 years to learn.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and finally feel like you belong in any band you play with, click the button below and join the Keyboardist Mentorship today.
