Daniel’s practice log
Hello, my name is Daniel and I’m 73 y.o. Playing piano is a child dream hence when I retired at 69 I bought an electronic piano and started learning by myself as an autodidact. Now that I reached an intermediate level I still would like to progress from my own pleasure. As I have a house to maintain and with my 2nd wife we have 7 grand-children my freetime is depending on each day’s program but I’ trying to spend between 30 minutes and 2 hours a day as much as possible.
My tastes are all styles of music, from classical music to rock & roll, pop, blues, metal, folk, film music, jazz and others. What I’m playing is depending on the mood and what i want to express.
What I’m particulary expecting nowadays is to learn all these small things that make my playing more pleasant to hearusing things like add2 or add4, adding a sixth, trying new rythms adding notes between the chords, etc.
I also try to improve what I can play with my left hand as well as the hands co-ordination.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kindest regards.
Daniel.
